Partnerships

Partnerships over the years have enabled the organization to undertake several projects for the development of persons with visual impairment and the prevention of blindness. Some of those ventures included: 

 

Republic Bank Limited - Power To Make A Difference 

In partnership with Republic Bank Ltd "Power To Make A Difference" this offered training to clients and members in the areas of music, soap and shampoo making and personnel development.

 

Community Development Fund - Youth Training Programme

In 2002, in partnership with the Community Development Fund, a used training programme was conducted that offered basic skills to prepare youths for employment and other activities. 

 

Early Intervention Programme 

In 2002-03, in partnership with the Canadian High Commission and BP Trinidad and Tobago an Early Intervention Programme, was launched that targeted children between zero to seven preparing them to face the challenges ahead. Training in this regard was offered to parents and teachers, particularly in preschools. 

 

Nipping it in the Bud 

This project was launched in 2008, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Diabetes Association of Trinidad & Tobago (DATT) entitled “Nipping it in the Bud” this initiative prepared persons to deal with the onset of blindness and blindness prevention.

 

Youth Training & Entrepreneurship Programme (YTEPP)

 In 2017, in partnership with YTEPP, members and clients received training in cake, bread and pastry making.
